Sara is a native Wyomingite who grew up in the Encampment-Saratoga area. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1993 and 1996 with degrees in International Studies and Economics, respectively. In 2000, she earned her Master's degree in Economics from the University of New Mexico. Sara subsequently worked as a labor market economist for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Research and Planning section from 2001 to 2012. She returned to Laramie to attend the University of Wyoming in January 2013 to work towards a degree in secondary math education in order to pursue her passion of teaching junior high and high school students. Sara worked for Cook and Associates P.C. from 1993-1996 and rejoined the firm in May 2013 as Funding Coordinator. Sara has one daughter, Ashley, who is also a University of Wyoming graduate.
