JEFFREY DIETZEL, J.D.

Jeff was born in Gillette Wyoming, but grew up in Southern Illinois as the son of a mining engineer and a nurse. He moved back to Wyoming in 1999 to attend the University of Wyoming in Laramie. While working on his undergrad he joined the Wyoming Air National Guard and still serves as a C-130 aircraft loadmaster. He remains a committed Guardsman and has flown on missions from airdrops in Afghanistan to aerial fire-fighting across the western U.S.

While completing his undergrad in the College of Agriculture he met and married his wife Shelby. He then returned to the University of Wyoming and obtained his Juris Doctor from the College of Law in 2012 and has since been admitted to practice law in Wyoming and Colorado. He has worked with Cook and Associates, P.C. since 2014 and is proud to have partnered with Craig to continue representing the clients of Cook and Associates for years to come. In addition to Jeff's work as an attorney and Guard member, he runs a business with his wife Shelby and volunteers his time on the Board of the Eppson Center for Seniors. Jeff and Shelby enjoy supporting the community, fishing, and spending time outdoors with their dogs.

Jeff has focused his practice around estate planning and business planning. He really enjoys the planning aspect of his job and helping people and their families be prepared for the future. He believes that a solid estate plan is an essential foundation and has experience expanding that plan to include creation of business entities, trusts, and other tools to help with simplicity, liability protection, charitable giving or asset protection.
